Rick Reeves combines exquisite detail with incredible authenticity as one of the country's leading historical artists. His artwork reflects his passion for military history. Rick was initially recognized as an American Civil War artist, but has since expanded in a genre of historical art including battles and scenes from the American Reveolutionary War, the Lewis & Clark Expedition, the Plains Indian Wars, the Mexican American War, the Spanish American War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm, modern military peacekeeping missions, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Rick’s paintings hang proudly in the U.S. Army War College, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, the National Guard Bureau, the Cavalry Museum, the 12th Armored Division Memorial Museum, the 2-505 Parachute Infantry Regimental Headquarters, the 307th Engineer Battalion, 25th Infantry (L) Division Headquarters, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division Mechanized, the Atlanta Cyclorama, the Florida Sports Hall of Fame and countless public and private collections throughout the country.
Rick Reeves studied art at Southampton College on Long Island, the University of South Florida in Tampa, and graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Studio Art. He has been an independent historical artist for over 25 years. Rick Reeves resides in Tampa, Florida with his wife, Cheryl and children Jackson, Katie, and Molly.
Maggie Konopa has represented Rick Reeves for the past twelve years and continues to publish the finest lithograph prints from Rick’s original oil paintings. Maggie works closely with each organization and her clients, handling contract work, scene development, publishing, marketing, and distribution. Maggie created and developed Operation Military Salute (OMS) to honor the exceptional men and women of our armed forces. OMS is open to every U.S. service branch both active and reserve and provides unit leaders at all levels of command an opportunity to reward recipients for their outstanding performance with visual historical art.
Maggie Konopa has been awarded the prestigious Helping Hand Award from the United States Army, which is awarded to the top 5 percent of volunteers within each installation organization for exceptional meritorious volunteer service. She served as the Consumer Affairs and Financial Assistance Program Representative, the Public Works (Army) Council , Publicity Chair for the Officers Spouse Club, Coordinator for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program for service members, public school volunteer, and youth sports coach. Maggie Konopa was also awarded the Presidental Sports Award for running and earning her black belt under the International Tae Kwon Do Federation.
Maggie resides with her husband, Matt Konopa who is a U.S. Army officer. They have three daughters Rachel, Jasmine and Sophia. Home is where the Army sends them.
